A ring makes a ring! What are you talking about? Your engagement ring of course. You just got a gorgemous ( yes that's a word I made up) ring for Christmas and now that ring will start to make telephones all over Atlanta ring. The florist, the church, the caterer and yes, the wedding photographers in Atlanta. You now have the start of a wonderful new year. You are planning a wedding. As you begin looking at wedding vendors, budgets, timelines, and dates, remember to have fun with the process. Yes, that's right, fun. This is an experience you want to remember AND enjoy. So get a checklist, make a budget, prioritize and let the treasure hunt begin.

Do not forget to get an engagement portrait made. Now is the time so that you can begin letting friends and family know about the big day you and your fiancé are planning. You can mail out “save the date” cards, post a picture to your Facebook page and give a portrait to both sets of parents so they can begin bragging and showing off a picture of their new son or daughter in law to be!

Here is a great session from Saturday, November 5, 2011. It was a beautiful fall day in Stone Mountain. Alison and Alex are a couple I got the priviledge of photographing Saturday and next August at their wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect. Awesome shoot. I think this may be my favorite engagement session to date! Enjoy!

This is an incredible sun set session at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia. This young lady is Ashley. Ashley and I had emailed each other back a few times and this is a session that I did this past Friday night. What I love about Ashley which I rarely see in other brides is a surreal, fairy tale look that she has. My daughter Samantha summoned it up well when she said that Ashley looks like a Disney Princess bride. I laughed and said honey, I am sure Ashley would have loved to have heard you say that. Wow! What else can you say about this image. This is Courtney & Brandon in St. Augustine, Florida this past Sunday evening.

Brandon & Courtney live in the Orange Park, Florida area. They met at St. Johns River State College. They are planning on getting married in May 2012. Congratulations guys!

Brandon has his last name, Schumacher tattooed on his back. Made for a pretty cool image in black and white.

Well, what can I say about the wedding this past weekend? Not enough great things, that is for sure! Lacey and Don make an adorable couple and were a blast to work with! These two could not have asked for a better day for their wedding at Neverland Farms in Cleveland, GA. The weather was gorgeous and the venue was spectacular too! Thanks for allowing me to share your special day. I hope you guys enjoy your photos!

This is a wedding from this past Saturday in Highlands, North Carolina. Nate & Hallie. They got married at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Highlands on a beautiful warm Spring day in the mountains. The flowers were done by Kirk and Don at Oakleaf florist right in town and looked wonderful as always. Ms. Anne Tate was the consultant for the wedding and made sure everything ran nice and smooth. It was a gorgeous wedding. The colors were green and yellow and tied in very nicely with the decor of the church. Their reception was right next door at Old Edwards Inn on the rooftop. As the sun set, it made for a great location for an very intimate wedding reception. It was a real pleasure to photograph this special day for them.They made a beautiful couple. We wish you all the best Nate & Hallie!
